   link a room properly and would create a NO-WAY-OUT situation.

        Some people have reported a runtime error 100 as well as a few others.
Consider these things to help you get a working version of Tower of Shadows
running.  (Version 20B is the latest)

1: If you ran CONVERTP.EXE or PC17_18.EXE more than once you corrupted the
   players file.  As noted in these docs you were never asked to run
   PC17_18.EXE because (as noted in the UPGRADE.DOC) it is to replace
   CONVERTP.EXE and was included for those who have not upgraded to version
   18,19, or 20.  If you have a backup of the players file from version 17B
   copy that into your game directory and convert it.  Then run PC19_20.EXE
   only once as well.  Then you will have a correct players file.  Do not at
   any time run tower of shadows to view the progress.  If you run tower of
   shadows before you completely convert the players file you will corrupt
   it again.

2: If you did not run any of the programs supplied to convert the players
   file before running tower of shadows or ran them more than once for any
   reason, you corrupted your players file.  If you have no backup delete
   the PLAYERS.ADV file and start over.

3: If your sure you converted your players file correctly the data files
   ITEMS.DAT, QUEUE.DAT, PNPCLOC.DAT, MONST.DAT contain current game
   information.  They are not required for Tower of Shadows to run.  Nor are
   they required to have anything in them.  If you did not delete them as
   noted below, do that now.

Version 0.20Beta
1: Changed the players file for future addition of NPC's.  Run PC19_20.EXE
   before You run Tower of Shadows, or you will corrupt your players file.
2: Fixed a bug to allow duration spells such as strength and light to be
   cast again.

   Delete MONST.DAT it has changed.

1: Added more ways for users to interact.  Players can now fight the same
   monsters in the same room.
2: Updated data files to keep better track of users locations so that
   other players know Which players are in a room with them.
3: Added the ability to examine a monster or view their stats.
4: Updates the players 'VIEW' stats routine.
5: Added a routine to alter the players description.
6: 'EXAMINE' now works with players.  It will display the players description
   Only.
7: Updated the NON-MapMode.  Exits now show where they go to by displaying
   the short description for the room.

   NOTE - You must delete any of these files if they exist BEFORE running
          this version: ITEMS.DAT, QUEUE.DAT, PNPCLOC.DAT, MONST.DAT
          If you do not do this and encounter an error, just delete them
          and the game will function properly.

        The intent of this version is to test the new routines for the data
files so they can be improved to work faster.  This version uses less of the
computers memory.  Please put it through the test and note any errors so they
can be eliminated.  There is no player vs. player fighting at this time.

1: Fixed Bug: Online flag after a player is killed was not set to false.

    ***** NOTE *****
    You must run CONVERTP.EXE if you already have a PLAYERS.ADV file.  Make a
    copy of your players file, and name it PLAYERS.017 put it somewhere safe.
    If this is a new install then you don't have to convert anything.  When
    you are done the file can be deleted.  Only run this once.  Do not run
    it for any future versions unless it is required.  However a new file
    will be provided.
    You also need to DELETE the ITEMS.DAT file, it has changed.

1: Added commands ENTER and EXIT.  Using these commands can make entering
   a building or other type of location easier for the user.  It is not
   required, you can still use any of the six directions.
2: Fixed problem when a runtime error occurred.  Players flag and active
   files were not erased.
3: Added SAY command.  However it will say something to every node other
   than the senders node.
4: Expanded the File Lock Retry Procedure to eliminate any runtime errors
   or deadlock.
5: The addition to show the players if they are in the same room has been
   Removed.  It will be in the next version.
6: Added the option to list players.  type PLAYERS at the adventure
   Prompt.  When doing so it will list the player with an ALIVE and ONLINE
   char.  'A', 'O'.  A 'D' will appear if the player is dead.
7: Updated MAINT.EXE.  Delete MAINT2.EXE.  MAINT.EXE will pack and delete
   the QUEUE.DAT and ITEMS.DAT.  If a node is not active and the QUEUE is
   deleted it will also delete the FLG files.
8: Added Two new classes.  Monk, Crusader.
9: Added Terrain, Topography, and ground cover to rooms.  This will affect
   fighting in future versions.
10: Fixed Bug when creating players.adv files, and the TIME.DAT file.

     If the game loads and you get any errors. Delete the following files:
        ITEMS.DAT
        QUEUE.DAT
        TIME.DAT

	I will be adding more player interaction, however since I will not be
using the DATABase files yet disk access might slow the game down some.

1: Fixed bug for rings not giving the player hit points, spell points,
   stamina points.  Also applies to monsters.
2: Fixed bug with new players not getting any magic points.  Only Wizard,
   and Priest classes get to cast spells.  These classes include:
   Mage
   Illusionist
   Cleric
   Druid
   Use EDITOR.EXE To add magic points to a player.  Please do not add more
   than their current intelligence.  If they have a Amulet that gives them
   additional magic points please note that, and add accordingly.
3: Changed the size and format of the Queue.  Please delete QUEUE.DAT.  The
   game will not function properly otherwise.
4: Changed the size and format of the master Items file.  Please delete
   ITEMS.DAT. This has no bearing on the players or any objects in the game.
   This file contains a list of items that have been dropped and not yet
   picked up by another player.
5: Possible Bug fix for multinode support.  Program crashes while trying to
   share the master items list and the queue.  Keep your fingers crossed.
   I have purchased Btree Filer.  I will be using it for the database
   functions.  This commercial program will enhance the programs capabilities,
   and speed.  One noted improvement will be variable database sizes, and
   recovery programs for corrupt data.
6: Delete the ITEMS.DAT and QUEUE.DAT files.  They have changed.  Thanks

Minor Bug fix:
1: Fixed error with Multi-User Items.  Items are no longer given to each
   active player on each active node.
2: Fixed error when casting spells without selecting a target.
3: Improved display messages when accessing Multi-User items.  When taking
   or dropping an item other nodes no longer see a '>' or any other indication
   that an item has been taken or dropped.  Only if the Item is dropped in the
   same room as the player will a message be displayed.
4: Fixed the players list of active spells.  It no longer takes up one line
   per spell.
5: Added Guilds to the main town so that players can increase their level.
6: For testing random monsters only a Small Orc was chosen.  Chooses a random
   monster again.
7: Fixed drinking of an item and the action REMOVEALL item were not placed
   in the Queue for processing
