Spearhead Studios, which is owned by EveryMatrix, recently purchased a license to use the xNudge and xWays slot mechanics patented by developer Nolimit City. This may be the start of their wider adoption, as both features were one of the factors behind the success of the latest Nolimit City release series.
Spearhead Studios decided to use both mechanics at once in one slot, which will appear in October this year. According to Bigwinboard, this will be the Book of Spies Mission X slot, which is yet to be announced.
xNudge offers reel sized wild symbols. When they appear partially on the screen, the wild symbol rises or falls one step at a time until it appears completely. In addition, each step increases the multiplier. And if there is more than one wild, then their multipliers add up.
xWays gives symbol expansion, in some cases the symbols can expand several times the normal height of the reels.
