Given the fierce competition among casino operators, players should be handled with the utmost care as possible. After all, the level of professionalism of the support service affects the choice of players. However, even large operators can make blunders in communicating with their customers.
Recently, a message from casino player William Hill appeared on the Casinomeister forum. This is one of the largest gambling operators in the world. It is known primarily as a bookmaker, but it also offers casino games. So the player of this mega operator met with outright rudeness.
The girl celebrated her birthday and expected that, as usual, she would receive a lot of congratulations from the various casinos in which she plays. However, there were no offers, and she decided to ask the operators if they have birthday bonuses. She contacted some operators, and they actually gave her bonuses, but did not notify her by email.
While contacting William Hill, she received a response from support for this plan: We have received your recent requests for free bets. Further, that they do not give bonuses on requests, etc. And at the end, they asked the user not to disturb the support service with their requests for free bets (screenshot of the end of the letter below).
First of all, the support person didn't bother to realize that the player wasn't begging, just asking if the players were entitled to a birthday bonus. Second, is it okay to tell a customer to stop contacting support for anything? Third, the staff member didn't bother to find out that this was the first time this had been reported.
But this is just the beginning. Further, when the player replies that the answer angered her, the same support operator sends a response. This response, among other things, adds at the end: we will continue to monitor your requests, and if this behavior continues, we will be forced to take action(screenshot of part of the letter below).
I personally wouldn't want to be in a casino that says that in some cases I shouldn't contact support. All the more so to hear that if my questions are repeated, then some mysterious measures of punishment will be applied to me. It is not clear what the operator threatened and on what grounds. I don't think any casino has a rule that penalizes contacting support.
In general, a lot of different things happen in online casinos. For example, it is not uncommon to deal with incompetent help desk operators. But such rudeness has not yet been. Sometimes you get the following answer to a question: Hello, what is your name? How are you doing? We are glad to meet you. How can I help you? This used to be the most annoying scenario. But it turns out there are worse cases.
Maybe you also met with rudeness in the casino, incompetence or rudeness? Describe your cases in the comments.
